Terms of Service

ClipTask is an online kanban board service operated from the United States. By creating an account or using cliptask.com and my.cliptask.com (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, don't use the Service.

Early access

ClipTask is in early access. That means the Service is actively evolving: features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice. We don't guarantee any level of availability, uptime, or support. We'll try to communicate big changes, but we're not obligated to.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for the content you upload. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in method secure — anyone with access to your email or Google account can access your ClipTask account.

Your content

You own the boards, cards, and files you create. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content to you and the people you share it with — that's what running the Service requires, and nothing more. We don't sell your content or use it to train AI models. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

Data loss — keep your own backups

ClipTask is not a backup service. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee that your content will be retained, retrievable, or free from loss or corruption — bugs, outages, accidents, and early-access changes can all destroy data. Deleted content may be permanently unrecoverable. Keep your own copies of anything important. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of or damage to your content or data, however it happens.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for anything illegal, to distribute malware, to infringe others' rights, to harass people, to send spam, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the Service or other users' data. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do, at our discretion.

Billing

ClipTask is currently free to use. Paid plans (such as Pro) are arranged directly with us — contact support@cliptask.com. If we introduce self-serve paid plans, they'll renew monthly until cancelled, and you'll be able to cancel anytime from your account, with access continuing through the end of the billing period.

No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. No advice or information you get from us creates a warranty.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or the cost of substitute services — even if we've been told such damages are possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. While ClipTask is free, that amount is zero. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless — including the people and entities operating ClipTask — from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using ClipTask at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may modify, suspend, or shut down all or part of the Service at any time. Where practical we'll give notice and a window to export your content, but we're not obligated to preserve or hand over content after termination.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. The latest version always lives at this page, with the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
